Features
The strut tower bar is arguably one of the least expensive upgrades that can provide a very high degree of benefit that is felt immediately after installing. Often one of the first modifications performed on a vehicle, the strut tower brace improves handling and stability of a vehicle.
The Sustec Tower Bar has been very popular due to its low price and high functionality. By connecting the strut towers, and creating balance, the shocks are prevented from independently moving and causing small changes in suspension geometry.
This is a high quality product that is offered at a very competitive price, and will help keep your chassis from flexing, and improve handling and stability.
This tower bar was specifically designed with the 2005-2009 Toyota Prius in mind. It is a perfect fit, and is made of quality extruded aluminum and steel. Because the vehicle was not built to haul tough loads on the car, the
chassis will have a tendency to slightly flex more than normal, which
can cause slight instabilities and deficiencies in handling. To improve
chassis rigidity, tower bars are made to reduce flexing of the shocks towers.
- Made of
extruded aluminum, the dual reinforced lips on the undersides and the
tapered ends allow for the highest quality experience.
- The
preload can be adjusted and set when the car is raised upon
installation. This process guarantees an equal distribution of weight
on each shock, and ensure that there are not independent movements of
each shock as well.
- The
endplates on this Strut Tower Bar are made from 100% steel, which
produces much higher quality than the durable, and breakable commonly
used aluminum end plates.
