I purchased the block heater, the spark plugs and the EV electric conversion for my '08. The instructions were for the newer body style. They said they were similiar but I found the install even easier then depicted. Removal of cowl cover, wiper arms, wiper module and the black tin tray. You can reach around and install the heater at this point without removing any additional pieces. The cord must be put on after the heater is installed contrary to what the instructions say. Orientate the cord to face the bulkhead and loop it around and between the engine and traction motor securing it to the AC and heater hoses that run through that spacel. I have my cord secured to the lower grill so no hood opening is required. I have realized between the 3 item a 3-5 miles per gallon increase from 37-38 to 43-44. In the warmer weather that should improve more as battery temp does play a role in how much use you can get out of the EV electric mode.
